DJ Cosmos officially started his music career in 2004.
He became the Front of House Engineer for the Royalty Band based in the Tri-state area. After a leave of absence, in the summer of 2006, from the band; Dj-Cosmos and two close colleagues; who shared the enthusiasm and zeal for the musical art form, began playing music at small house parties and Barbecues. It was at these parties he teamed up with King Tappa from NJ Power sound. Dj-Cosmos capitalized on his association with King Tappa and sought coaching from the veteran, who taught him the finer points of the business.
By January 2007, armed with a strong determination to excel, he began hosting his live weekly Thursday show on Islandriddimz.com. It was during these ever popular weekly shows that he expanded his fan-base and perfected his skill. Using the expertise learnt through NJ Power Sound and the confidence he had built from hosting the live shows; Dj-Cosmos started hosting parties on his own. Faced with a few unsuccessful attempts to get the crowds going in his initial gigs. Dj Cosmos being open to criticism, accepted them. These challenges gracefully and each time went back to practice with a renewed vigor.
Highly regarded by his ultra-loyal fans, DJ Cosmos emerged even stronger in 2010. This new energy and attitude has elevated DJ Cosmos to mythical status as the unofficial Bouyon Mix Master. His creative approach to the music and seamless transitions from genres is a clear illustration of his great ability for mixing and willingness to evolve.
